Turn USW Green is all about taking action to reduce our impact on the environment, both on an individual and university-wide level. You've made a great first step by signing up for the programme and the steps below will help you get the most out of it.

You'll compete as part of a team to earn Green Points for your actions. There are a whole range of actions that you can earn points for under different themes.

2. Take part in activities to earn Green Points

You can take part in a whole range of activities to earn Green Points for yourself and your team.

Check out each of the activities to see what you have to do - for some you'll need to submit some information or a photo whilst for others you'll be sent a weekly reminder to let us know what you've done. We've included an impact and effort rating so you've got a rough idea of which activities will have the biggest effect on your carbon footprint.

You've been automatically opted into some activities that will appear on your Impact Tracker; opt out of these any time by going to: My Account > Points Log > Click the X next to the activity.

4. Win Monthly Vouchers

As part of the programme you'll get the opportunity to win 1 of 4 x £20 vouchers each month, with choices including National Book Tokens, M&S, National Garden Gift Vouchers, Boobalou, and cinema vouchers. Each term we'll also be awarding £200 to the top team to donate to one of our charity partners.

Our top individuals are based on who has earned the most points during that month. Don't worry if you've only just joined or haven't taken part in a while - as soon as you get stuck in, you're in with a chance to win!
